Kidnapped, sold, now running for her life. Jen is an American girl who struggles with her Iranian heritage. At sixteen she is kidnapped and sold into slavery. Follow her journey as she fights for her freedom, stands up for truth, and finds her faith. Filled with action, intrigue, and suspense, Path of Jen will get you fired up and tug at your heart all at once.
"This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience a completely different world." If only Jena knew this wasn't a world she wanted to be a part of.
After not putting this book down for the past 5 hours, I can honestly say I was captivated the entire novel. I like to describe this book as 'one to remember' as the lifeless act of trafficking young woman in the Middle East does not go unnoticed within Wood's novel. This story engrossed my mind beyond belief to the point where I could image the situational emotions Jen was feeling in every instance of the book.
This story captivated the reader into the terrifyingly intriguing world of Jen. A cry for faith is what engulfs her mind and pushes her heart through the unimaginable-slavery. An all American, Texas born Iranian, must prove her strength not only to herself, but to those who captured her. Travelling to the Middle East and being taken is the least of Jen's worries.
Branching off the Islamic law and how unseen acts go unnoticed across the world, Wood uses the elements of faith, perspective and diversity but chooses to connect the ties of characters to untold truth of experiments which brings a uniqueness to the books entirety.
